I’ve worked in the non-profit sector for most of my adult life and this article really struck a chord with me. The idea of truly partnering with grantees on things like outcomes measures is both simple and a major shift. I have worked on grants with such a onerous reporting and outcome requirement as to be groan inducing. We end up forcing our organization in a specific direction just to be compliant. Others are more flexible. I know which ones I enjoy the most! 😊
Thanks for spelling this out. It is an extremely important issue as we strive for a more collaborative way of working which will ultimately lead to necessary changes and growth.
