I feel a bit confused by conflating freedom with being supported by government. Also, this has the potential of defining two classes. One poor, living off the dole, and one rich, that is employed, making, perhaps lots more money, living better. I see nothing in this study that indicates that people will work if they don’t need to. The second group will have to be much larger than the poor group or the economy will crash. Is it appropriate to make the government to make people happy? Brave New World was a cautionary novel, not a users manual.
What happens to personal responsibility for one’s own life?

To be able to finance UBI we need to implement a new kind of monetary system and or a new tax system. Both are possible.
