hello, I am largely in agreement with the thoughts presented in this article. However, there is one point that i feel is less substantiated - that corporations must learn from non-profits how to “create and measure social value”. I would submit that most non-profits do not know how to measure the social value that they create. They have a clear mission for the most part, but i would suggest that there are very few applications of measuring social value. On the other hand. corporations have many other things to learn from non-profits: building on passion and motivation, creating a sense of urgency, enterprise spirit and risk taking…
