It is true that technology and data analytics are important components of CSR but there are other compelling avenues for tech companies: Asking their builders/developers to use green infrastructure and on site wastewater systems, to work on biophilic strategies to increase city resilience in a climate altered world, to become opinion leaders and support B Corp legislation and to evaluate the small business and independent business impacts from technology, including ethical issues that must be addressed by the industry with other partners.

It is also important to note that technology offers platforms on which citizens can quickly air pressing social concerns hence prompting and sometimes forcing organizations to act positively.
