It is really a good idea. It is true that poor are not able to have the advantages that the middle and upper middle class have, not because of want of money, but for want of knowledge.

Its really difficult to think beyond the hear & now when faced with hunger or the prospect of not being able to feed your family for the next meal. i think thats why when doing such workshops on entrepreneurship it would be good to also have some programs that take care of the here & now in a productive way
Good point! I would also add that there is very contrasted class structure. There are very rich, and very people, and those who are below the poverty line. Your idea might work.
Wouldn’t going back to basic agriculture achieve the same purpose with less resources and more direct solutions to solve poverty? I believe the main problem people in poor countries face is the fact that they have forgotten to produce something so simple as their own food, and in the process learn how to sell it in the marketplace where we know everybody is going to buy it. I recently observed a presentation of this program being implemented in a small city in Honduras, and for some reason I couldn’t stop thinking about agriculture as the solution.
