Roxane and Jamie - thank you for sharing such great insights from ONE. I particularly appreciated #3. So often it’s easy to get swept up in the latest and greatest trends only to forget the roots of what’s worked for your organization. There’s a simplicity and beauty to doing what works for your audience.
Roxane and Jamie this article speak volumes to those who are advancing social innovation and social entrepreneurship agenda like me. I particularly want to point out that your observation - #millions of people care about ending extreme poverty and would do more to make it a reality given chance - clearly indicates the mood in the world. Many people now including myself regard human dignity a basic fundamental right that no one is supposed to take away from you. but due to poverty many are currently exploited by the few elites. This is unacceptable. A reason the hunger for change is consuming the world slowly but steadily. keep it up guys i appreciate
“What works here won’t necessarily work there” I couldn’t agree more. Often we see companies and organizations apporach different groups in the same manner. That does not work. Each group has a different needs, values, attitudes, and agendas. Catering to those specifics makes a huge difference.
