It is truly amazing that this has not happened yet. Community Foundations and Regional Grantmaker’s should also be a part of this solution by connecting those with common interests and goals. Our nonprofit sector deserves our support.
I agree with Chris, Hilary and Paul that greater collaboration amongst individual philanthropists and institutional foundations would be very good for the sector. But I would go one step further and say that we need greater collaboration and knowledge sharing amongst all of the key stakeholders working to drive positive social change. The good news is that the sector is already moving in this direction. It has been exciting for me to see what progress has been made since 2005 when I, along with four others, founded the European Venture Philanthropy Association (EVPA). Our motivation was exactly what this article proposes, to encourage greater collaboration by bringing together not just individual philanthropists and foundations, but also corporate CSR leaders, professional service firms, universities, private equity firms and family offices, to share best practice, evidence of what works, and combined resources that can ensure the sustainability of our most impactful social purpose organizations. We also decided to include government-related agencies since governments often have the ultimate responsibility for addressing social problems and scaling effective interventions.
Today, EVPA (evpa.eu.com) and its sister organization AVPN (http://www.avpn.asia), which we established in 2011, have over 425 members across 43 countries, and we regard ourselves as catalysts and facilitators in encouraging collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Thank you very much for the work .Iam a person who has established some projects like piggery and poultry.Iam seeking for a donor to boost my projects.

We need a bigger place to talk about ” no more damaging dollars” or “full funding for results”, is this the forum?
