As a student of nonprofit organizational effectiveness, I’m writing to ask what you and others may see as an off-the-point question (but it’s one that continues to interest me: What has led you to reach the conclusion that the organizations you list are among the most effective nonprofits? What information or impressions inform that judgment? I’m always curious to learn how people reach judgments about NPO effectiveness since there is no agreed-upon metric for making such judgments.
