This was a great article that really expresses the problem that we face in New Orleans as a city. I do alot of fishing in coastal Louisiana and you can see over the last 10 years how much has actually been lost in terms of lost marsh land its crazy. I think we need to restore our marshes and barrier islands and slow down the erosion problem. I think that will help deal with alot of our problems.
Many of the places that I fish 15 years ago there was plenty of land and now its 15ft deep of water. I really have enjoyed your article. I own http://www.cardetailingneworleans.com/ and lived in the New Orleans area for over 30 years. I love this city and area and I really want to make a difference here. This article was really interesting and fun to read. Thanks so much.
