Inspiring! I think you point on staying on purpose is right one. You need to know what you do really well and then have the confidence to do it (and just it) no matter how appealing that off-purpose funding might be.

Regarding point 18 - Own what you know and don’t know - remember also that we can ask for help and expertise. “Not knowing” can be a good place from which to say “I am eager to get your help on this and learn from you”.
What about staff culture? Building healthy staff retention plans and working with teams to manage challenges, work to people’s strengths seems valuable. How do Rockwood and IDEX retain staff and build manager-staff relationships that work?
Great article and lots of positive insights. Being in the Endowment Education business, I truly believe that sustainability should be high in the list of priorities for any organization.
