Really appreciate your perspective, and have been troubled by the investment “advisors” who push “gender lens investing” on the premise that men and women are fundamentally different, which they’re not (important not to confuse sex and gender, but most of these folks don’t know the difference). Socially responsible investing is not a new concept. And both men and women need to recognize the gender schema operative in the world which cause both genders to be biased in undervaluing women’s contributions and overvaluing men’s. Lots of evidence-based research backing up all these assertions, in case anyone cares.
Great article!! Surprised you didn’t mention Women for Women International. They are another great organization investing in women all over the world. Thank you for shedding more light on this issue!
