1) No indication of adjusting for the bias of the investigators/researchers
2) “…the top two income groups are over-represented, and the bottom two income groups are under-represented.” Has anyone ever considered that the top has undue influence over the bottom’s access to the voting booth given they are the employers and dictate via unfettered access to elected officials (indentured servitude) how the game is played.
In Australia, voting is mandatory with a $20.00 fine for those who don’t. Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, India, New Zealand, and a number of other countries vote on week ends and holidays. Estonia, a recent democracy, votes online.
Consequently it seems like either we suffer from a crisis of imagination, a lack of will to make it better or both.
What is obvious, is that those on the top do not wait in long lines, nor have any other obstacles to voting. Thus it seems rigged. No, lets get real, it is rigged.
We need to do better. What other countries have this kind of turnout problem or worse?

Two things cought my eye.
1) No indication of adjusting for the bias of the investigators/researchers

Also I agree with Sanders, it should be a national holiday. http://www.sanders.senate.gov/democracyday
