Good article for our small 501c3 nonprofit organization Empowering Minds International, Inc. Our mission is to deliver mental health services to the marginalized population in Kenya and to support Agatha Amani House, a shelter for women in Kenya who are victims of domestic violence or sexual abuse.
A great article, thank you! Common Impact has been developing these mutually beneficial corporate skills-based volunteer programs for the past 16 years. We are seeing a real shift away from more transactional volunteering towards strategic partnerships that provide longer term capacity building value to nonprofits while developing employee business and leadership skills in a way that they just couldn’t realize from traditional corporate training programs.
