Thanks for sharing your insights and experience. You highlight a critical piece of the scale puzzle that is too often overlooked: the challenge of implementation at scale. We need much more research and insight into the pathways to achieving impact at scale, which is much more about what you call the small questions of implementation than the seemingly big questions of program design. Of course, both are needed, but there is a great need for understanding just the kind of grounded, practical insights and experiences you are sharing from your experience at Educate! I hope you will share more of your ongoing learning and progress in the months and years ahead.

Hi Jeff - Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful response. It means a lot coming from you! We were happy to share our insights and hopefully our experiences can serve as a resource and ignite discussion around effectively scaling impact. I look forward to sharing more in the future.
Thank you for sharing your experiences at Educate. I found them extremely helpfu as we (Tumaini International) take our first steps in scaling our services across Kenya after operating regionally for some 12 years.

Very interesting piece on Scale up. I also wanted to get insights on how you can scale up if it is not your organisation scaling up but you try to influence other stake holders particularly government.
Thank you so much. It will be very helpful. I am trying to understand why some of our models are not creating the required .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Bse ideally, we do pilots and my assumption is that these pilots are supposed to be picked up by the state. So am wondering why it is not happening.

Thank you Robert! Much appreciated. You might be interested to read more about how we work with government in this case study: https://www.brookings.edu/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/FINAL-Educate-Case-Study.pdf . The “Riding the Reform Wave” may be of particular interest.
