I appreciate that you mentioned how metrics can only help if they are used by managers to shape strategic decisions. As far as I know, using statistics is a great way to analyze a business. It can tell you of how things are going as well as where they can continue to go if things don’t change. Not only that, but adding changes to the workflow and seeing the results in these statistics can help you understand if you are making the right decisions, like you mentioned in the monitoring section. It’s one thing to implement changes, and another to continually watch and make changes based on your observations.
