Many thanks Jenn. Some of IIP’s work will be continued by the Copenhagen Center for Energy Efficiency http://www.energyefficiencycentre.org/, and IIP India.
It was a shock and a great shame to loose our closest ally in promoting industrial energy efficiency. IIP did exceptional work on content and policies and indeed there is a gaping hole left in our ‘small’ world of industrial energy efficiency. Dusan, http://www.ee-ip.org
Thank you for highlighting this important issue and gap in climate change, especially the challenge of solving long-term problems when tied to “short-term” focused investors, government agencies and philanthropists.
In the short term we must all search for “patient capital” with investors that understand that real value comes from creating products, technology and projects, and then building the market. Only by raising these issues and showing examples like you have can we break the mold of how investments are made, price externalities, and create new vehicles for impact.

Your observation on creating products, technology and projects, and then building the market is spot on. Thanks Alex.
