The key to “Giving 2.0” is the potential power of the masses.
The internet provides us with the greatest opportunity of our time – reaching beyond our borders, with just a click of the mouse.
But to unleash this potential, giving needs to become part of our social conscience. It is with urgency that we need to look beyond our own comfort zones, and acquire a sense of responsibility towards the greater good of those around us.
And like the example of Obama’s campaign – each individual has the power to make change - anyone who can access the internet, can access a way to do good.
Although governments play a vital role in society, we cannot rely on policies to save the world. Change is in our hands – with a dollar a day you can save a life – now multiply that by the millions of privileged internet users – it’s a sure way to make a better place!
