Investing for the Workplace Technology We Want

The future of work is now. Yet, for workers, it’s still to be determined if artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies will enable better quality of life or merely more efficient exploitation.

What levers do investors have to influence how companies deliver for workers on everything from financial and health security to culture and performance management? In this discussion, two experts on what it takes to transform the workplace weigh in: Lexi Reese, a resident at the venture capital firm General Catalyst at the time this conversation was recorded, and Tolu Lawrence, managing director and head of corporate impact at JUST Capital, a nonprofit that measures corporate performance against social goals.

Their conversation covers everything from taking a proactive approach to AI to the myth of turnover being inevitable. The pair also offer tips for leaders who want to orchestrate the best teams and advice for figuring out the talent and technology needed to do so. Don’t miss this insightful discussion.

To see the rest of the conference and discussions with experts and workers, register here. Other session topics included: Generative AI, bossware and worker surveillance, philanthropic investment in digital innovation, the gig economy, protecting workers, and more.
