Members of the Red Rebel Brigade, a performance activist troupe, take to the streets of Brussels on October 5, 2025, as part of a climate march organized by Coalition Climat, a bloc of more than a hundred Belgian NGOs and associations.

“Even though our message is serious, we want this march to be a moment of expression and creativity,” organizers stated to potential participants. “Bring your best signs, wear your most original costumes!”

The brigade emerged from the 2019 Extinction Rebellion protests in London. Its members wear red to symbolize “the common blood we share with all species, that unifies us and makes us one.”
