On July 5, 2025, Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands greeted Syl, a chestnut mare, as she visited the stables of Madurodam Manege in The Hague to mark the 60th anniversary of the foundation Riding for the Disabled. The charity uses the venue to provide therapeutic horseback riding for children and adults with disabilities.

The visit occurred less than a month after her granddaughter and heir to the throne, Princess Catharina-Amalia, underwent surgery to repair a broken arm after being thrown from Mojito, her chestnut mare.
