Reflections on the US Presidential Election and What’s Next for the Social Sector
The year 2020 has been extraordinarily challenging for everyone, including those working in the social sector. Stanford Social Innovation Review has published numerous stories to help leaders of social change navigate the times, including articles on how to effectively manage the impact of the global pandemic, address racial and gender inequality, and develop a healthier sector.
Following a landmark national election in the United States, we present a series of reflections on the outcome and its effects on civil society and the social sector. Stories may include open letters to the administration, analysis of voting or other democratic processes, reviews of policy implications, identification of opportunities and challenges for leaders of social change, and practical ways to move forward. Written by a diverse group of thought leaders, these stories will provide strategic guidance, inspire constructive dialogue, and help the social sector set an effective course for the future.
